Roger W. Jones (1908-1993) was born in New Hartford, Connecticut. He graduated from Cornell University and received a master’s degree from Columbia University. In 1933 he moved to Washington, DC, and went to work for the Bureau of the Budget. During the Eisenhower administration Jones served as Assistant Director for Legislative Reference and as Deputy Director of the Bureau.
